Pézenas is about one half hour's drive from our village. It's shops, and markets are worth visiting, but many go in simply to visit the Internet Cafe or wine bar. It's got quite a history (which is true nearly everywhere in the Languedoc). It's the birthplace of Moliere, something Pezeans isn't about to forget. It used to be quite a grand place, and still resonates some of that grandness from the days of the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries when it was the Seat of the Governors of the Languedoc. That doesn't mean that the town is snooty or stuck up; it's actually a fun place to visit, and somewhat more relaxing to visit than Beziers.

Our village is about 30 minutes from Pézenas

Robert, here are some photos of the village. Please look them over, and let me know if any are keepers, and which ones. You are free to add any photos you have to this slide show. I am happy to crop and resize them to fit, but if you would like to do that yourself, just crop them the way you wish them to appear. Don't make them any smaller than 600 pixels wide. My slideshow software automatically resizes them to fit the space above.
